Rashidi Yekini The Great Footballer of The Super Eagles

Nigerians, this is Rashidi Yekini. The greatest football Striker the Nigerian senior football team has ever had.
He worked so hard to put Nigerian football on the map. He never rejected National call ups, he never discriminated against any National team player. He played every match he was invited for, and with any group of players.
Yekini single handedly qualified us for our first world cup. He brought joy to the hearts of many Nigerians and succour to us during many trying moments.
Yekini scored our first world cup goal, he won a Nations cup for us. Before then he won 3 Nations cup silver and one bronze for us. Oh, the Yekingly, the goalsfather who won highest goal scorer in the Nigerian league 3 times, in Ivory Coast, in Portugal. He scored goals for Nigeria at the Nations Cup in 84, 88, scored highest goals in 90,92 and 94. What a player, what a man.
Yekini died frustrated in 2012 after giving the better part of his life to this Country. He was forgotten and despised.
Even though the NFF and his former teammates don't remember this great Nigerian anymore, how about us ordinary Nigerians? Have we forgotten the gangly Yekini so soon??? Have we forgotten the joy he brought to us? His fights for us? His humility and long suffering?
Ladies and Gentlemen, let's celebrate Rashidi Yekini!!! Celebrate him, celebrate him, celebrate him!!!!

Talk about a boss move!

Reacting To Hush Puppi’s Rants, Singer Kcee Calls Out The EFCC

While the world waits for Ice Prince to also respond to Hush Puppi’s Shades, singer Kcee has come in defence of his brothers as he calls out Hush and the EFCC.

The singer wrote:

Dear Hushpuppi,
We are musicians not paupers. Who exactly do you think you are to open your mouth and insult a musician that sweats day and night in the studio?
You have no credibility, no known source of income and yet you come on social media to attack hard working Nigerian musicians with traceable wealth.
Let’s face it, I think we’ve had enough of this nonsense and disrespect form you. Really, What do you do for a living, what is your talent, how did you make your money, what brand do you represent? I will take it upon myself to raise a petition against you. We want to know your source of income since you now have the nerves to come on social media and call out a brand. Who is your father, Are you OBO , are you a taxable Nigerian. We need to start asking questions and the EFCC @officialefcc needs to start paying more ‘Attention To detail’.

Phyno Replies Hush Puppi The Way...

Just yesterday, self-acclaimed billionaire socialite, Ray HushPuppi, took to snapchat to throw shades at top Nigerian music acts like  Ice Prince and Phyno, calling them out for showing off with fake jewelries and then still coming out to cry about their work being pirated.
He wrote:
#IcePrinceZamani #Phyno #PatekPhilippe!!! I won’t say more than that…If you don’t want people to patronize pirated copy of your work, don’t patronize pirated copy of other’s work #Hypocrites
Following this, Phyno  came all  is all out for the socialite, as he threw not one but several subs, insults and all to Hushpuppi.
see his subs below:

It didn’t end there, The EZEGE crooner, posted yet another sub, recalling the onetime in Malaysia when Hush had begged to take a photo with him.

Nigga begged for a pic when I performed in Malay…just be a loyal fan or watch from a distance…Easy
Hush hoever came back, responding to one of Phyno’s subs as he isn’t  about to let Phyno have the last
He wrote:
Phyno don’t know I still have messages of nigga sendingwhen he visited Malaysia to come buy him Gucci

From what it seems, we have not seen the last of this.

Rapper Sinzu Sentenced to 2 Years in US Prison After Denying Card Fraud Charges

Rapper Sauce Kid (AKA Sinzu) reportedly has sentenced to two years in prison, and this comes more than a month after news that he was languishing in an American jail surfaced.
Recall that when the news of his arrest surfaced last May, the rapper dismissed it and said he was working to drop new songs. However, Idaho Statesman reports that the rapper, whose real name is Falemi Babalola was sentenced last week to two years in federal prison after stealing $15,388 during a visit last summer to the Treasure Valley.

The report adds that the rapper “obtained stolen bank card numbers and identifying information for their owners. He then encoded the account numbers onto blank plastic cards. After using an automated system to change account PINs, he was able to withdraw cash from bank ATMS and buy merchandise from stores between July 23 and 26.”
Like his counterpart Dammy Krane, Sinzu was arrested at an airport as he was set to board a flight. He was caught with a card encoding device and more than $6,000 in cash.
Following his arrest, the rapper was “charged with conspiracy to commit bank fraud, eight counts each of bank fraud and aggravated identity theft, and possession of 15 or more fraudulent bank cards.”
In court, he pleaded guilty to the counts of aggravated identity theft, and since he accepted his wrongdoing, prosecutor dismissed other charges lined up for him.

Have Mercy On Us, Evans Wife, Uchenna Begs Nigerians .

…I didn’t know he was into crime
…He took part in our daily prayers and always prayed Psalm 23
…His wealth should be sold off and given to his victims
…I didn’t know he was this rich, the highest he gave to me was N200,000
…Please, forgive him for the sake of myself and the children

The call was a surprise. And in the words of our Crime Editor, Emma Nnadozie “it was shocking but revealing and even pathetic.” The caller had said “hold on for Evans’ wife.” The female voice quickly pleaded to Mr. Nnadozie to call her back as she did not have enough credit. Nnadozie returned the call from Ghana and the caller told her story. Excerpts: Evans wife, Uchenna and kids

My name is Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike, the wife of the Chikwudubem Onwuamadike who you call Evans. I am 31 years old. I got married to Evans at the age of 17 at Oraifite, Anambra state in 2004. He met me while I was coming back from lesson as a student of All Saints Secondary School, Oraifite and I was in class 6 going to take my West African Examination.

After we met, I agreed to go with him because of my poor background. He told me his father married three wives when he was six years old and threw his mother out of his house. He said that one of the wives influenced his father to drive them out of his house also and they were forced to stay with outsiders.

Evans was taken to his grandmother who trained him. He told me his father accused the mother of being adulterous before driving her out of his house. Our marriage is blessed with five children. Our first issue is 12 years plus and her name us Udochukwu. After we got married, he said I should stay with his mother in his village at Akanmiri, Umudim, Nnewi to teach me how to be a good housewife.

I was there for three years before he took me to Lagos. We were living at Satellite town in 2006 and after one year, he relocated us back to the village because he could not pay house rent. While in the village, he normally came to see us. We spent three years in the village and relocated to Ghana. On our way to Ghana, we passed through Lagos and stayed at Benny Hotels in Festac where we spent two days before travelling to Ghana. He spent a month with us in Ghana before coming back to Lagos.

I was pregnant with our fourth child in 2010 when he left for Nigeria to come back in two months time. After I gave birth, he came back four months later and was able to clear the accumulated bills we kept for him because I borrowed money from friends to clear hospital bill. When he came back, he complained bitterly that things were rough for him in Nigeria and that customs seized his goods.

I was not aware that he was into kidnapping and all the criminal acts he is being associated with now. All I know about his business is that he was into haulage, buying engine and spare parts for trucks and imports exhaust pipes. That was what he told me. The reason he kept me in Ghana was because he said our children should get quality education.

I have spent six years here and after I stopped hearing from him, I called and complained bitterly but he said I should stay for some time. I then called his friend, Okechukwu, who now lives in China. He told me that he has not been seeing him and that he spends most of his time with a girlfriend in Festac. When I called him to complain, he was angry with me and warned that I should stop listening to gossip.

He said that If I should return, I should go to his younger brother’s house in Lagos until he is ready to get accommodation for us. The brother was formally living in Lagos but he is in Brazil now. So, when it was impossible to pay my children’s school fees, I packed my bags and baggage and came back to Lagos with our children. We stayed at his brother’s house at Agric, close to Trade Fair until he took us to a house in Magodo where he claimed he owed rent pending the completion of his own house there. We have spent just one year in that house in Magodo.

I have no idea of the type of business he was into but he told me that his friends overseas used to buy phones and jewelries for him. EVANS While in Lagos, i was idle and I pressured him to find something for me to do and he promised to do that. Several times, I asked him to take me to his office but he said they move from place to place to offload goods in haulage business and share profits.

I can’t remember having any visitor in our house. It is only the agent called Sunny that helped us to pack into our house that I know. At times, artisans come to do one repair or the other, that’s all. I don’t know any of his friends and if we were invited to parties, he would not allow us to attend. He told me that he has no friends and that he hates associating with people. I was always indoors because he warned me to beware of Lagos women that they are wayward.

I was staying indoors and it was only when I was sick that he took me to a hospital in Ikeja. I always have BP and it makes weak. We went back to Ghana on the 6th of this month and he promised to join us in no distant time. On the 9th, I called him to know when he would be coming and even the youngest of our children was crying, begging him to come as soon as possible and he promised to come. In the afternoon, I called but he was not picking. I called again, there was noise in the background and the line was switched off. I then called the driver that took us to the motor pack when we were going to Ghana and he told me that there was a problem, that police came and arrested Oga and that they came with a fair complexioned lady.

When I heard all the allegations against him, I called his brother in Ghana, his mother, father and other relations but I could not get them. I then called their last born, a student at Oko Polytechnic but he said he had not spoken with him for long. I was confused until I opened Niger news and Vanguard Websites. That was how I got the shocking news about my husband. I collapsed and later called my kids to inform them what I just read about their father.

Since then, I have not eaten, I am still in shock. Our children could not believe what they were reading about their father. They are saying that he cannot do all the things they said he did. In fact, while we were in Nigeria, he had never slept outside our house. My children were crying when they saw his bloody eyes and swollen face.

Our condition was worsened when I saw my picture with him and our children on the face book. I don’t know where they got it. I have not been receiving money from him, I have never seen his money. The only thing I know is that there was a time he bought an expensive watch in Dubai and I wanted to know why he bought it when he could not open any business for me. He kept on teasing me, claiming it came from a friend.

It was only when we wanted to travel to South Africa last year Christmas where we spent two years that he gave me N200, 000 for the trip. I have never seen him as a rich man. While with him, we made sure we had all we wanted to eat and that’s all. I can’t remember seeing any sign of affluence in him. He is not a proud man and he has been wearing one sandal and slippers for long now. He does not go for parties.

In fact, I have never suspected him as a criminal. If I have been seeing any strange things, I would have suspected him. We have three cars, one Hilux, one grand Cherokee and an SUV. The N20m they said he sent to me through transfer was given to one Hausa man to pay into an account in Ghana to be used in paying our rent and furnish the house in Ghana. I know he banks with GTB only. Their staff used to visit us in the house. I am not aware that he has five girlfriends and I have never suspected him because he did not keep late nights.

It was shocking to hear about his girlfriends. He did not answer calls in my presence. I uses to see his phones being charged but he normally switched them off. I always asked him why use pin code to lock his phones and that he lived a secret life but he threatened to beat me if ever I touched any of his phones. I didn’t even know the security pin. He would leave the house sometimes in the evenings with his phones and would come back between 8pm and 9pm. Most of the things I read about him are strange to me. As his wife, I should have seen the signs but I have not.

He has cancer and does not drink alcohol nor smoke anything. I have never seen gun in our house. I don’t know where they got those frightening guns. He has never told me he has another house at Igando. Any time he went out, he always called to ask after the children and reassure me that he would be back soon.

I am suspecting that whatever happened to him must have come from his father’s second wife. I don’t know what he did to him when he was young but he told the story. He said that after their mother was driven out of the house, he was with his brothers playing outside one day when the second wife called him to pick a bucket and collect water for her. He was four years then, he picked the bucket, collected water and when he came back, she removed her dress and she was wearing only a bag made from animal skin on her waist.

She brought seven small stones from the bag, gave to Evans and ordered him to pour the stones into the bucket to know if the gravel would rise (sail) on top of the water or not. Evans said he did as she directed but the only thing the woman did was to take the bucket back and ordered him to go back and play with his brothers. He said he told his father later but he said he was telling lies.

I feel very bad because I did not know if he was doing all these or not. Even if he was into all these, why did he not stop because of me and his children? All the time when we pray, he used to promise God that he would tell Him his story later in life. Here reads psalm 23 a lot. Even his phone, he sets alarm for 12 noon to read psalm 23.

He took part in our daily prayers in the morning, evening and night. He used to lead us in prayers. We attend Anglican Church. He has never given them money to show off. We used to give N5000 or N10,000 and the highest we have given so far was N50,000 when we baptised one of our children.

I am appealing to the powers that be to spare his life (crying), as I speak now, I am kneeling down with my children, crying and begging for forgiveness. Have mercy on us. He did not know what he was doing. He did not know what came over him. I am ready to come back to Nigeria and plead on his behalf. What I am reading in the news is shocking. Though, I have not heard that he killed anybody but all those he injured or took their money should please forgive him because me and my children. They should kindly forgive him, he will repent. God knows I will not be alive and see my husband doing bad thing and keep quiet.

All his wealth should be sold off and given to his victims. Evans is a good man. He takes care of all his relations including the children of the second wife we are suspecting did this to him. He has just two houses in Ghana but I have never seen them. I saw the house on his phone.

Since I have been living with him, he has never injured anybody or beat me. He has milk of human kindness in his heart. He has not been harsh or wicked to anybody. He always advised us to be prayerful I (starts crying again) and complains bitterly any time I failed to pray. His neighbours also know him as a kind and generous man. Members of my family are worse hit by this ugly development.

They said some people brought newspaper publications to show them about their in-law and they have been wondering if he actually did all that because he has been good to all of them. I am from a very good, God-fearing family and if any of us had suspected this in him, they would have forced me out of his house for long.

I am ready to come back and testify on his behalf. I will also like to see the Governor of Lagos state and explain the whole thing to him. They said he is rich but I have only N13, 000 in my Diamond bank account. He does not give me money. He told me he will be paying N40, 000 into my account every month but after two months, he stopped, claiming that he was penniless.

Perez, Mbappe, Ronaldo and Medenz

A little sum up of wut i found on Twitter on Florentino's interview on Onda Cero :
- Florentino : I like Mbappé more than Dybala or Dembele.
- Florentino: When Raul decided to leave Real Madrid (2010) I thought that the decision was correct. There was never tension between us.
- Florentino: Raul just arrived and with time he'll get to know the club and his role better. Real Madrid will always be his home.
- Florentino: I told Mendes (Pepe's agent) that I'd like to give Pepe a nice farewell, one that he deserves.
- Florentino: It seems that Coentrão will be leaving to Portugal to join Sporting Lisbon.
- Florentino: Donnarumma? It seems to me that he has very good manners.
- Florentino: No one from the team came to me and asked me to keep Keylor for another season. But I know that they love him, this I know.
- Florentino: We didn't sign Mbappé before because he wasn't even 16. It's safe to say he'll be one of the best and we're following him.
- Florentino: Cristiano wasn't just a business, he is part of Real Madrid's history now.
- Florentino: Zidane does not want any player to leave.
- Florentino: Nadal didn't recommend that I sign Asensio. I asked a favor to speak with his uncle and close his signing.
- Florentino: Cristiano is part of Real Madrid's history. He's at the same height as Di Stéfano was for Real Madrid.
- Florentino: You (interviewer) are an Atlético fan and Atléti would love to see Cristiano leave. Real Madrid's members adore Cristiano.
- Florentino: Not me nor the club contemplate the idea that Cristiano may leave Real Madrid.
- Florentino: We will talk to Cristiano after the Confederations Cup. It's not true that Zidane already spoke to him.
- Florentino: If the whistles continue at the Bernabéu towards our players, there will be future players who won't want to come.
- Florentino: I have a good relationship and a good friendship with Cristiano and I want to talk to him.
- Florentino: What we want for next season is to keep everyone and that's including James. 😍😍
- Florentino: We haven't received any offer for Cristiano or for anyone including Morata and James.
- Florentino: PSG's owner is my friend and he has not called me regarding Cristiano. No one has called me for Cristiano.
- Florentino: I think that the media haven't respected Cristiano on this issue. He's being labelled as a tax fraud. (N he aint the only one 😒)
- Cristiano: If Cristiano wants to leave Real Madrid, it won't be about money. His release clause is set at €1 billion.
- Florentino: I haven't spoken to Cristiano yet but what I understand is that he's not being treated well in this country (Spain).
- Florentino: Cristiano isn't going behind the money. He just wants to be the best player in the world.
- Florentino: Cristiano feels wounded and he has good reason. There was never a tension between us, if he's sad it's certainly not from me.
- Cristiano: I never told Cristiano to bring me an offer if he wants to leave. We're delighted with him as a person and as a player.
- Florentino: Cristiano did not want to cheat his way out of it because he presented his income to the Spanish Treasury a few weeks ago.
- Florentino: All I know is that Cristiano is angry with the media's treatment. We're finding a solution that will make everyone happy.
- Florentino: I don't think that Spain's Treasury felt obliged to check Cristiano's income after Messi's tax fraud.
- Florentino: At this moment, I did not hear from Cristiano. When the Confederations Cup is over, we will talk about it.
- Florentino: Real Madrid and I have had some troubles with the Spanish Treasury and we have won some of those in court.
- Florentino: What I know is that Cristiano's lawyers came out and gave all the explanations that were needed by the treasury.
- Florentino: I heard about Cristiano leaving because everyone I knew had sent me A Bola's cover page. The last time I spoke with Cristiano was in Cardiff. This whole tax issue happened after the Final.
- Florentino: I am sure that Cristiano wouldn't want us paying his tax fine. Even if we offered to, he won't allow it.
- Cristiano: I am sure that Cristiano has complied well with his tax duties. This is just a confusion that will soon be clear.
- Florentino: Cristiano is not only a great footballer; he also contributed great work to the community. I will always defend Cristiano as a footballer and as a person, he is a good person, very supportive.
- Florentino: It affected me how the media treated Cristiano after the tax allegation; the fact that he is innocent was not respected at all.
- Florentino: All of this is very strange but Cristiano is a good guy and I'm going to talk to him and find out what's happening.

Did Wizkid Just End Davido’s Career With These Scorching Tweets? Get the Deets!

Wizkid may have responded to the shade many people believed Davido targeted at him earlier today.
In case you missed it, Davido went on yet another rant on his SnapChat today, dissing singers he referred to as now only making ‘pon pon’ music. And this came just as Wizkid is set to drop his EP ‘Sounds From the Other Side’, which is heavily influenced by Caribbean sounds.

‘Pon’ is a popular Caribbean (especially, Jamaican) slang.

Many people didn’t take kindly to Davido’s obvious shade, and they dragged him mercilessly, just as they did his brother Adewale Adeleke , when he came for Wizkid on his SnapChat.

Now, Wizzy, who already unfollowed Davido , is firing withering shots on Twitter, targeting ‘kids’ he said failed at what him (Wizkid), is successful at.
We all know Davido failed at breaking into the international market and relocated home in January, while Wizzy continues to dominate international airwaves.

The Come Closer crooner is throwing deft shots at unnamed persons, and avid fans are saying his latest words are definitely a Davido diss.

How Notorious Kidnapper EVANS Was Arraigned.

According to a report by Punch Metro, the police have said that useful statements made by a younger sister of the notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudi Onuamadike aka Evans, led to his arrest.

The sister was said to have been arrested after her number was identified as one of the contacts in Evans’ special SIM card.

Punch Metro reports that Evans’ childhood friend and four girlfriends were also picked up by the police and they all gave relevant information.

This is just as operatives disclosed that Evans used three phones – two of which reportedly cost N2.4m and N2.6m respectively – with anti-tracking features to frustrate his arrest.

It was learnt that he contacted families of his victims through the phones to demand ransoms, bearing in mind that the families could report to the police for tracking.

Reliable police sources also disclosed that the billionaire kidnapper had 126 registered SIM cards.
Evans, who also deals in drugs, was arrested on Saturday in one of his two mansions on Magodo Estate, Lagos, after seven years of high-profile abductions across the country, during which he collected millions of dollars in ransoms.
He was paraded the following day amid jubilation at the Lagos Sate Police Command’s headquarters in Ikeja.

He was said to have bought three houses in Accra, Ghana and wristwatches worth thousands of dollars from the proceeds of the crimes. The suspect, who dropped out of school at Junior Secondary School 2, had confessed to have once collected $1m ransom.
Six of his gang members are Nwosu Chukwuma, aka Sudo, 42; Suoyo Paul aka Nwana, 42; Felix Chinemerem, 36; Chukwuemeka Bosah, 28; Uchechukwu Amadi and Ogechi Amadi. Uchechukwu and Ogechi are husband and wife.
Five AK-47 rifles, one AK-49 rifle, two English pistols, 59 AK-47 magazine with ammunition, 1,272 pieces of live ammunition of AK-47 (9mm) and five number plates were reportedly recovered from the suspects.

A police officer told Punch Metro on Thursday that apart from the weapons, three phones – a Turaya, and two different Vertu phones – containing anti-tracking features were recovered from the 36-year-old native of the Nnewi North Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The officer said, “He has 11 phones. Two of them are special Virtu phones, which are very difficult to track. He also has a Turaya, which is a satellite phone. It can be used anywhere, including in the bush, on the sea, and desert, where there are no GSM service. In Nigeria, we don’t have the capability to track Turaya.
“He said he bought the Virtu phones N4.6m. He used the three phones for his nefarious activities. We succeeded in tracking him through the other phones he has.”

A detective stated that a number of SIM cards used by Evans complicated the challenges posed by the sophisticated phones, adding that he bought the SIM cards registered from miscreants in Computer Village, Ikeja.

He said, “We studied and analysed 126 SIM cards before we caught him. We have about two-page analysis of each of the numbers. He used 125 of those numbers to call his gang members only and used one to call his mother, wife and sister. He said he bought all the SIM cards already registered in Computer Village for N1,500 each.
“We picked his sister, his childhood friend with whom he attended primary school, and four of his girlfriends. They gave us the information that led to his arrest. Evans confirmed that they didn’t know he was into kidnapping. Because of that, we granted them bail, while investigations continue.”
Another source confided in Punch Metro that aside from a camp in New Igando, where Evans kept his victims, operatives had uncovered two other camps, which would soon be visited.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood,  said the suspect would soon be arraigned in court.

DYING FOR A POLITICIAN

A Footnote to Saraki's Victory
By Pius Adesanmi
Hearty and warm congratulations to Senate President, His Excellency Alhaji Chief Bukola Saraki, who has, once again, earned a commendable victory over the people of Nigeria. He has been defeating the Nigerian people since the days of his robbery at Societe-Generale Bank, through eight years of massive robbery as Governor of Kwara State, onward to aloota continua in the Senate. Every attempt to make him pay for his crimes has failed.
Because of our system.
Because of who we are.
I want to move on quickly to an inconsequential footnote to Saraki's victory at the tribunal today. A few days ago, a life was reportedly lost in Kogi state. I understand he was a Polytechnic student. He lost his life to the fracas between His Excellencies Dino Melaye, Smart Adeyemi, and Yahaya Bello. There has been a lot of back and forth between the feuding parties. However, the most important thing is that a life was lost on Dino's account. He went to Kogi to taunt his opponents.
Today, there will be jubilation and celebration in Saraki's ranks in Abuja. There will be rivers of champagne. There will be chops. And the obligatory well endowed light skinned concubines and girlfriends will be available in abundance. Dino will be there as Saraki's body guard and choreographer of events. The student who died this week on his account and all those injured while rallying for politicians and taking sides are a footnote. They will not be remembered even for one second in the middle of the celebrations.
Your victorious oppressors will always celebrate over your graves and broken bones until you borrow yourselves brain and stop tearing at each other on account of these people.
I promise that dead student; I promise the injured this: should political calculations towards 2019 necessitate strategic realignments and kissing and making up, you may yet see Saraki, Dino, Smart, and Yahaya Bello on the same campaign podium, hugging and back-patting.
Keep fighting. Keep dying for them.
I will always be ready to chronicle their victories. And your broken bones. And your lost lives.
Ko si problem.
